Try the chicken salad!
Best sandwiches in Redding as far as I've seen. Service is FANTASTIC if not slightly slow-
but I attribute that to the fact that the sandwiches are fresh and hand made to order.
Lots of delicious options and they encourage new ideas. If you like tasty food between 2 slices
of bread, this place is a must-visit.
Yes it is! I have heard a lot about this place on Facebook and I was eager to
try it. TBLSS did not disappoint! There is a huge menu of sandwiches and I
heard there's even a 'secret' menu of even more. The biggest difficulty is
picking one to try. For my first try I had the Sundial and boy was it tasty...I
was dreaming of having it again last night. I see they're open until midnight,
so I shoulda went back!
Join their page on FB because they post specials, etc. My
husband had the Mother Trucker and I had a bite and it was equally tasty. I love
the variety of the sandwiches: meat eaters, veggie lovers, to very vegan
options.
One silly issue we did have with the menu is that the sandwiches are named after
local things, which is great, HOWEVER- they did not have an RFD! They have an
RPD and a CalFire, a CHP, even a Miss Mercy--where is the RFD? We took issue
with that as we are a RFD family...lol... We gave them a hard time about that
and we were told how to get one added...we had fun with that one...

The employees are good natured which is always a plus.
One bummer is the location (I'd love a central Redding location) and there's not
really any seating available especially if it's busy. But if you are looking to
grab a great sandwich and go, this is the place!
